Mulberry Head Offices Completed
British luxury brand Mulberry has combined its previous two London offices into one single location spread over 40,000 sq ft on Kensington Church Street. Mulberry worked with Universal Design Studio to construct a space that suits the brand’s affinity for innovative design and English eclecticism. The brief was to create a suitable, functional working space for a unique fashion brand, and not a dry ‘office’ environment. Spaces are open and organic, and reflect a mix of natural, low-key textures with innovative space and light elements.
Mulberry Manchester Flagship
Universal Design Studio has completed work on the new Mulberry flagship store for the north of England in Manchester. The Manchester store is the latest in an ongoing collaboration between Mulberry and Universal Design Studio, who recently unveiled the new Mulberry London flagship store on New Bond St to critical acclaim.

Mulberry Bond Street
Universal Design Studio has designed Mulberry’s new flagship store on London’s New Bond St. Universal and Mulberry have been collaborating on the store concept for two years. This is the first flagship to be fitted out and several smaller international stores are under construction. The store has the austere language of a contemporary art gallery with the daylight-simulating lightboxes on the ceiling. A concrete floor inset with especially commissioned brass tablets by conceptual artist Jon Ellery is juxtaposed with a playful composition of large sculptural timber and brass ‘follies.’
Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2010
For the second year in a row, the Natural History Museum approached Universal Design Studio to design the exhibition space for the annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Drawing in over 130,000 visitors in 2009, it is the museum’s most popular exhibition and a highlight in the arts calendar. This year’s exhibition also includes the results of an exciting new award – Wildlife Photojournalist of the Year and an interactive lounge that allows the visitor to experience the digital exhibition of past and present winners.
