Event spaces, meeting rooms, private dining rooms, a bar and an external terrace on the seventh floor of Ace Hotel, Shoreditch, London
The 7th floor at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, East London, provides events spaces, meeting rooms, private dining rooms, a bar and an external terrace with incredible views across the London skyline.
The floor as a whole focuses on the roof scape and offers a change in viewpoint and pace from the more public Ground Floor, which acts as an extension of the streetscape. It has been designed so that the external spaces can be used to full advantage, throughout the year, day and night. A connection with the exterior can be felt throughout; the spaces feel light and natural, have an abundance of planting, texture and natural materials including timber flooring, exposed concrete walls, wood wool panelling and Crittal internal and external glazed walls. The overall material palette consists of raw, textured and industrial materials in keeping with the approach to the Ground Floor lobby.
The spaces include the 100 Room, an expansive room that is great for business meetings, private receptions, social gatherings and dinners; the large Britannia room, which has its own private balcony and wide windows with panoramic views of Shoreditch; and the bird’s-eye bar and terrace, which takes over the whole of the 115 sq. m rooftop and is decked out with furnishings by Michael Marriott, a first-of-its-kind lighting installation by Fabien Cappello and panoramic views of Shoreditch and the City of London.
